Swadesi-E-Clinic is a humble contribution in the field of health care services (HCS) especially the way it is practiced in India. The conditions of health care services in India require a much needed overhaul or a comprehensive revival. There is a large scale discrimination, exclusion and denials in terms of both, availability as well as accessibility of HCS. Following are the major concerns associated with it:
- HCS in India have not been accorded adequate priority in allocation of public funds.
- HCS are unevenly distributed across economic strata, location, (urban-rural), gender and regions in India.
- Commercialization and privatization of health services particularly after the post-Liberalization, Privatization and Globalization era has resulted in excluding a sizeable number of population particularly, socially disadvantaged groups like SCs, STs, Women and Poor from the coverage of health services provided by the organized sector.
- Medications and Diagnostic services comprise the major chunk of HCS expenditure in India. They are not yet affordable to the masses. Even after the recent advent of generic drug activism, it is either kept secluded or not made popular i.e. masses are kept away from its benefits.
Mission Statement
Swadesi-e-Clinic envisions to bring new international standards of training and delivery of swadesi or indigenous Medicare services like Ayurveda, naturopathy, yoga etc. at the doorstep of the masses in the most affordable way.
Humanity is one so should the health care be. It should not be discriminated and given special privileges to the few. Swadesi-E-Clinic is an attempt to take care of some of these problems and give the much needed relief to the masses.
